As an example of what can be achived with a Reach for the Stars reading incentive program, below are some of the kid kits given as prizes in the Summer 2008 Operation Breakthrough Reach for the Stars where nine children raised over $1,800 in pledges, received over $500 of books to use for family homeschooling and over $200 of kid kit prizes, and gifted almost $1,300 of wonderful new Usborne books to Operation Breakthrough.
That was a total of almost $2,000 of educational books getting into the hands of kids from just nine readers.
